The Plaint

sub specie aeternitatis
I sit
subsisting in the
silence and the
plaint - hopping
from square to square
black white black
white, avoiding
the puddle of
tears shed in
lack and muddle in
burning bush material where
I scorched my
hand and my
mother is not here
to salve it.
