More than enough

We woke into our
Saturday which
meandered through our
hearts, quietly, I typed
my words into a machine
whilst you wielded
tools, did tightening
and drilling - all things
on the list scored-off
and we ate well, our feet
reaching for the fire

inestimable, the hours
together in the same place:
joy where it matters most
and peace, as if we
coast the way, don't
have to try: words
and arms enough
at the world's end, the
year's slide
