Luke

such black windows
such poverty of spirit
life lived in a drugged
state

he is gone now - what
did he think on that
last morning when he
lay there - did he
know he would not wake?

I don't see him now
lights on, passing
before the glass, or
hear the music
from his room

many cars have come and
gone as they cleared-out
his possessions - the
house is empty now -
how near were they before?
black windows of gloom
