Keys

These metal locks and
Keys of ours will go
And panels in their stead
Innocuous and faintly
Shining plastic will we
Touch with our fingers and
Palms their segments
Adept at recognising the
Hair'sbreadth the
Skinwhorl of the hand that
Identifies the owner of the
Space inside and
Opens the door thinkingly.
There will be no fumbling
And turning of awkward-angled
Metal keys and locks as
Tumblers trip and the
Identifiable click tells you
You have opened your own
Door, your mind elsewhere.
