Dustbin

Empty your soul into the bin
and be collected by the men
bit by bit
the sin sucked away
with entrails, sodden paper, and glass.

Do not so easily discard
your rubbish: store it, nurture it, for
in the Spring you could have
the bright blossom of orange in your heart -

for all grows
from sour to white,
from crass to bliss,
given time and right intention.
