Discarded

I have been left
lying around
the side
of my own
life like
rubbish
waiting to
be picked
up
and thrown
in its
proper
place.

I blow out here
too loose, too
free to
look and
see what I
really am:
a plastic bag
a lollipop
a piece of paper
blowing in the
wind.
