Diamond

A bag of diamonds
hard and glittering,
sharp on the palm - they
cut you the gems
full of light and
heart - wealth collected
over the obdurate years
compressing and compressing
the darkness until it
blinds you with its
light, its hardness, its
moonlode glitter that
speaks loud
enough to cut the
skin and bright
beauty searing in.
