The Little Ballerina

The little ballerina
has hurt her foot, her
dance is dead
her feelings mute

and who cares for the
bone that is twisted
the wires undone?
hamfisted and

clumsy are the
words left which
condone the action
of knocking over

and falling down - she
cannot place her
weight squarely
and done to death

is her dance of life
and her liberty, her
bodice closed, her
tutu awry.
