Regaining the stars

To regain the stars we
Must first regain
Our eyes, we must
Breathe crisp air and
Open lids to
Let light in, feel the
Snow freeze our fingers
Feel the wintering - they
Live there wild and
White and high flashing
The eternal message the
Blinking of the
Eternal eye - crisp and
White as frost they
Lie upon a velvet coverlet
Diamonds scratching skin
Welcome them in, the
Stars, the fresh
Green of the stars - let
Your heart
Welcome them in.
