Daughter of Eve

1 am a daughter
of Eve - expelled
from my Eden my
head torn apart by
knowledge my
heart ripped by love - there is
a limping quality
to living - to
looking at the sky, remembering
the sky-tree the
red red apples the
snow-white quality of life
before the reckoning before
the floods the
drenching the ragged terrain - he
cuts the earth with much pain
and my heel is sore, my
energy dimmed - this is
contrite living unblessed
and grim.
