undone I

the pidgeon stopped
and looked at me, his
head cocked on
one side enquiringly his
mobile eye
scanned my form as he
lifted his left leg
and curled his foot to
perform an act of
sympathy for
me and my
predicament stuck
in Sauchiehall Street with
no means by which
to get home - my
left leg and foot
undone by injury
limpingly
