moving pictures

the champagne water
continued to roar, eating
the rock on its way to
the fall, but the rain
departed with its skirts,
unveiled the day and the sun
faced us again, lighting
up the peach leaves as
they loose and float to the
grass

all the green is still - the
wind is tired and rests,
only the clouds never
cease: form, disperse, form
move on, an ever-changing
lantern to the sky making us
dim bright dim bright

they coast on by
take my eyes with them
my body rests, content
