mist and still

mercy the heat
gone into cloud and mist:
cool damp grey:
windows open on the day
birds thankful
plants exhale
rain soon we pray

cool airs agree
stealing in my window
freshening the room
I feel them swirl
gently about my feet
mercy the heat
gone into cloud and mist

in the pale creamy blue
breathe the trees
stretching leaves
I bask in cool airs at play
delicious
kissed
