frost

first frost has come
coating with hard white
fingers, rime glistens
in the sun

the sky is clear blue
this morning, bright sun
temperature is down

I dreamed last night
of my Grandmother
and how she was gone
nurses at the end of
a 'phone

another golden day here
bars of gold
bright coffers filled
I remember that
I won - I can't let
the past drag me down
