The Queen II

The Queen in her turn
smiled indulgently at
the King, nodding in the
direction of the room
watching the King's Fool
roam and
fright the court. She
liked him outlandish and
overgrown, liked the
frown on the
faces of the gowned. Poor
woman constrained and
strutted but
painted and primed to
sit at his side
and smile.
