The Angels were Here

Our family has
always been
white stone among
grey, diamonds
in dross - we have
cared and nurtured
more than others known
we have loved and laughed
harder than others known
we have pained
deeper than any known -
we have held together
stronger than others known
but we have been
made disparate, disjointed
unwinged
by time
