Someone walks me home

The sorrows of my heart are known
I bear them because they
Are borne, the night sky is
Testament to my eyes and
The promise of a shooting star
Bursts and dies - the
Word is fleeting, stilled, and
I am left alone again to climb
The hill towards my home, right
Past the church, and I am
Not left here alone for someone,
Someone walks me home.

The night is crisp and dark
The stars are bright and
I am granted sight to say
This is not night this
Place we are, for sorrows pass, and hope,
Hope will take us far.
