Not Once Did You Look Back

1 can never
forgive you
for this forced
corner I am in
of blithe smiles
and boxed feeling
made mute and
unimportant by your deliberate
peeling of my pride

as you stride quickly
in your leathers
to noise and society
without the requirement
of my presence.

1 hate you
with a feeling
as black
as your own heart.

Not once did you look back.
