Mirage I

I think I dreamt
That you were here;
That your laugh
Grated the air;
That you clattered
Down  my  stair;
That you iay with me here.

It must have been a dream
For no trace of you remains
And  only my hair spreads
On the pillow in the morning.

My  two eyes alone
Greet the silence of the day
With  his light fingers
Probing my curtain as if to say
 Good morning to me.
