Let It Begin

And suddenly there is a
Peep of light, a startling ray,
And by me the cat
Snoozes quietly and I wonder -
Is this it? escape into sanity
And the good moment? who
Can tell. I am a quiet
Yeller myself, untelling all
That could be told. But the light, now,
The light makes me bold
And as I rise to check
The beam emerging
I smile at my own
Life lit to behold, to be seen.
Let us let, therefore,
The good moment begin.
