Empty II

I am empty
As a boat that has
No cargo
And no crew to drive her; coax
Her where to go.
The sea slaps my
Wood, the echo
Resounding, rebounding
All is empty-
All is dead, all the good
Has gone.
I am Marie Celeste
All occupants
Dived overboard
Preferring the glassy
Touch of blue to
The speech of light
Air and shadow.
I am without crew
Dead in the water
And drifting.
