Daydreaming

Hand trailing in
cool waters, dipping
in green light. White
lace shading, pole dripping,
pushing in and out.

This gentle rocking
side to side - your
muscular movement
light, precise - and your
smile pours over the
brim of my hat, caresses

my cool cheek, we glide on
with the river water
current carrying us, soft
flight back to
reality.
