Dark Star

I see a dark star turns
And you: a space too far
But how your bright fire burns
Enough to see the place you are.

I'll get there if I can, I'll
Cross the sky for you -
I'll touch your hand and stop you say
I'm the one you never knew.

I hear a blue rain fall
I see a white light fly
And I, to love, must leave my heart
And I, to learn to be with you
	must learn to cry
	must learn to die
must see through all my lies.

I know your dark star turns
I've seen the white birds fly
I've felt the pyre burn
For I've seen within your eyes

And I, to love, must leave my heart
And I, to learn to be with you
	must learn to cry
	must learn to die
	must see through cleaner eyes.

For this is how you cross the sky
Your wings they bear you far
And I can only stand and cry -
I can't be where you are.

Your dark star turns alone
And your space is filled with one
Your fire so bright it burns my hand -
I cannot be with you and so I
Stand alone, I watch you go.

But I have lost my heart to you -
You taught me how to cry ...
Thus our revolutions part
As I watch you cross your sky.

I see your dark star turns
And you: a space too far, too high ...

In love, my heart was spurned
For you taught me how to part, and cry
You left me with your fire
But you taught me how to die
And now I know

	how dying burns
	how dying burns.
