Coming of Age II

I have come of age
too late the blindfold removed
too late I see with
older eyes what I
should have seen before
and I rue the day
I lost the place I
most loved in
all the world - how
can I live a silent
single life without the
granite to sustain? How
can I have reasons
to begin again, to
scratch the surface of a
life of depth and spin
when all I had most loved
in all the world
is gone.
