Balancing Act

And so I steady myself
On the beam - don't fall don't
Fall I am whispering
To my own feet

Not looking down at
Any of it. Some days the
Balancing is harder I have to
Recover an equilibrium

I am barred from
And gaze
At the distance
Ahead of me its dark cast

And place my
Left foot gingerly before
My right and arms swaying at
My sides walk forward. How

Hard.
